Role & responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Overall plant operations and production.
- Improve manufacturing yield and product quality.
- Reduce manufacturing cost and solvent consumption.
- Improve productivity and batch cycle time.
- Lead production, technical, engineering, QC/QA and utilities teams.
- Troubleshoot complex manufacturing and process problems.
- Improve plant capacity and equipment utilization.
- Implement systems for production, costing and performance reporting.
- Lead process improvement and new technology implementation.
- Develop and strengthen the plant team.
- Ensure GMP, safety and regulatory compliance.
- Take responsibility for agreed production and financial targets.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

- Strong API / pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
- Experience managing a complete manufacturing plant.
- Strong process and technical understanding.
- Proven experience in yield improvement and cost reduction.
- Positive leadership and team-management skills.
- Ability to take decisions and challenge existing processes.
- Hands-on and result-oriented approach.
- Strong commercial understanding.
- Experience with solvent-based manufacturing and recovery is preferred.
