Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Plumber to handle day-to-day plumbing maintenance and repair work in the hostel. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of water supply, sanitary fittings, drainage systems, and other plumbing installations at the ground level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend to daily plumbing complaints and maintenance requirements in the hostel.
- Repair and maintain taps, faucets, flush systems, wash basins, pipelines, valves and other plumbing fixtures.
- Identify and rectify water leakage, blockage and drainage issues.
- Check and maintain water supply lines and plumbing connections.
- Carry out routine inspection of plumbing systems and identify potential issues.
- Attend to emergency plumbing complaints and complete repairs promptly.
- Maintain proper cleanliness and safety while carrying out plumbing work.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance/Engineering team for major repairs and issues.
- Maintain basic records of complaints, repairs and materials used.
- Ensure proper use and care of plumbing tools and equipment.
- Perform any other plumbing-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- ITI / relevant plumbing certification preferred.
- 25 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hostel, school, hotel, residential complex or institutional facility.
- Positive knowledge of plumbing systems, fittings and repair work.
- Ability to independently handle routine plumbing complaints.
- Responsible, disciplined and punctual.
- Willingness to work in a hostel environment and attend urgent maintenance requirements when required.
