Position: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Reporting To: Maintenance / Engineering Manager

Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to handle preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems, production machinery, control panels, and plant utilities. The technician will ensure maximum equipment availability, minimize machine downtime, and maintain safe and reliable electrical operations.

- Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and production machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair 3-phase motors, starters, contactors, relays, MCBs, MCCBs, control panels, transformers, and electrical circuits.
- Diagnose faults in PLC-controlled machines, sensors, proximity switches, limit switches, and other automation components.
- Maintain and troubleshoot VFDs/AC drives and motor-control systems.
- Carry out electrical wiring, cable termination, panel modifications, and component replacement.
- Check electrical parameters such as voltage, current, insulation resistance, and continuity.
- Maintain proper earthing and electrical safety systems.
- Attend machine breakdowns promptly and reduce production downtime.
- Execute preventive-maintenance schedules and maintain maintenance records.
- Identify recurring electrical problems and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Production, Mechanical Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams during breakdowns and maintenance activities.
- Maintain adequate electrical spares and communicate requirements to the Maintenance/Stores team.
- Follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), PPE, safety procedures, and company maintenance standards.
- Support installation, commissioning, modification,



and improvement of electrical equipment.
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in the maintenance area.
- Required Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance.
- Valuable knowledge of DOL and Star-Delta starters.
- Knowledge of AC motors and motor protection.
- Basic knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and I/O identification.
- Working knowledge of VFD/drive troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of industrial sensors and control components.
- Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams and control-panel drawings.
- Knowledge of electrical testing instruments such as multimeter, clamp meter, and megger.
- Basic knowledge of pneumatic/electro-pneumatic systems will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of 5S, TPM and preventive-maintenance practices is preferred.
- Educational QualificationITI – Electrician / Electrical
- OR Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Candidates with relevant industrial maintenance experience will be preferred.
- Experience2–5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing/automotive/engineering industry will be an advantage.
