Job Description – Site Civil Engineer (Roads & Highways)
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Mandatory experience in road and highway construction projects
- Proven experience in execution of roads and footpath construction projects in collaboration with various Government departments, in compliance with approved specifications and standards
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on site experience in public infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, STAAD Pro, and other civil engineering software
- Strong ability to independently manage and take decisions on-site
- Proven experience in leading and managing on-site teams effectively
- Capable of independently handling complete site operations end-to-end
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple government interfaces
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee execution of civil engineering projects at site level,
ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
- Independently manage complete site operations, taking timely decisions to keep work on track
- Lead and coordinate on-site teams, ensuring productive labour and contractor management
- Liaise with government departments for approvals, inspections, and compliance documentation
- Prepare and review site plans, technical drawings, and construction schedules
- Monitor site safety, labour management, and contractor performance
- Ensure compliance with government codes, environmental regulations, and building bylaws
- Prepare daily progress reports, cost estimates, and billing documentation for government audits
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, and government engineers for project alignment
- Resolve site-level challenges and ensure smooth execution of multi-agency projects
