The Role

This is a rare hybrid mandate that puts you at the intersection of institutional fund management and hands-on startup building.

Half the role, you're the financial backbone of the Fund itself — owning end-to-end fund accounting, financial control, portfolio valuations, and regulatory compliance for a Venture Capital scheme operating under the IFSCA (Fund Management) Regulations. This is high-stakes, high-visibility work: you're the person LPs, auditors, and regulators trust to get the numbers right.

The other half, you step into the shoes of a virtual CFO for our portfolio companies — working directly with founders building category-defining startups, helping them stand up the financial systems and controls that will carry them from seed to Series A and beyond. Few finance roles give you this kind of range: institutional rigor on one side, startup-building energy on the other.

Key Responsibilities Portfolio Advisory

You'll be the trusted external finance sounding board for select portfolio companies in their earliest, pre-CFO-hire days — a seat few finance professionals get this early in a startup's journey.





• Mentor founders of early-stage portfolio companies on setting up financial systems and controls — typically seed to Series A stage, before they can justify a full-time finance hire

• Share recommendations and best practices on financial hygiene: MIS, cash flow forecasting, unit economics tracking, board reporting templates

• Advise founders on statutory compliance, ESOP structuring, fundraising documentation, and capital allocation decisions

• Flag key observations on portfolio company finance matters to the investment team

• Guide fundraise readiness — data rooms, financial models, investor Q&A; framing

Fund Operations

You'll own the finance and compliance function of the Fund alongside the Portfolio Advisory mandate — the engine room that keeps the Fund credible, compliant, and investable.

• Fund Accounting & Net Asset Value (NAV) Management

Who We're Looking For

• 5–8 years of finance experience, ideally spanning fund operations/compliance and operating-company CFO or finance-leadership roles (startup, VC-backed, or professional services background all welcome)

• CA / CFA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent skilled qualification

• Comfortable being based in or relocating to GIFT City, Gandhinagar

• Genuine excitement for the startup ecosystem — you want a front-row seat to how great companies get built, not just funded

• Sharp communication skills and the ability to earn founder trust quickly — you'll be in the room as a peer, not just a compliance function
