Role Description The Senior Physiotherapist is a full-time, on-site role based at Nagarjuna Hospitals in Vijayawada. The role involves independently assessing patients, developing and implementing physiotherapy treatment plans, and monitoring progress across inpatient and outpatient settings. The Senior Physiotherapist will provide advanced rehabilitation services in specific to Ortho and Neuro, guide patients and caregivers on exercise programs, and maintain accurate clinical documentation and records. The role includes supervising junior physiotherapists and therapy assistants, coordinating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams,
and contributing to clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives. The Senior Physiotherapist is also expected to support patient education, ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards, and participate in training or case discussions as needed.
Qualifications
- Relevant academic qualifications, such as a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
- Proven clinical experience in physiotherapy, with a solid background in musculoskeletal, neurological, or cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments, design individualized treatment plans, and adjust interventions based on clinical outcomes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring junior staff and contributing to departmental development.
- Knowledge of evidence-based physiotherapy practices, professional ethics, and hospital protocols, including infection control and patient safety.
- Comfort with maintaining detailed clinical records and documentation, and familiarity with basic hospital information systems.
- Registration or licensure with the appropriate professional council/body, as required by local regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours based on clinical needs and participate in ongoing professional education and training.
