Job Description Life Skills Trainer / Communication Skills Teacher
About the Role
PRACHET Foundation is looking for a Life Skills Trainer / Communication Skills Teacher to join our ANM Nursing Program. The role involves designing and delivering an integrated Life Skills and Foundational Employability curriculum for nursing students from tribal, rural and first-generation-literate backgrounds across Chhattisgarh, alongside functional modules in Mathematics & Measurement, English Language and Digital Literacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver Life Skills sessions on communication, decision-making, time management, teamwork, problem-solving and emotional intelligence through role-plays, group activities and case discussions
- Teach functional modules in Mathematics & Measurement, spoken/written English, and Digital Literacy as an assessed part of the ANM Nursing course
- Conduct baseline, formative and summative assessments; provide mentoring and remedial support to learners
- Conduct mock interviews,
group discussions and personality-development sessions to prepare students for clinical placements and job interviews
- Maintain attendance, session plans, assessment records and training MIS
- Coordinate with nursing faculty, clinical instructors and placement teams
- Represent the Foundation at community outreach and mobilisation events
Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline (Bachelor's degree mandatory); B.Ed. or PG in English, Education, Humanities, Commerce or Management preferred
- Certification in Life Skills/Soft Skills facilitation (TOT), Employability Skills (DDUGKY/PMKVY), or Computer Applications is a plus
- 1–5+ years of relevant teaching/training experience
