Role & responsibilities :

- Lead daily operations across copper melting, casting, extrusion, rolling, or drawing lines.
- Execute schedules to hit shift volume and timeline targets.
- Track and control scrap rates to minimize raw material waste.
- Assign tasks, goals and machine placements to operators and helpers.
- Maintain high housekeeping and organization standards across all production work areas using 5S methodologies.
- Inspect raw materials and finished copper against ISO 9001 and grade standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and train shift personnel on machinery operations, safety protocols, and standard procedures
- Resolve minor workforce grievances, manage shift attendance, and maintain a disciplined, productive floor environment.

Preferred candidate profile

- Hands-on expertise in copper metallurgy (temperatures, properties, shaping).
- Experience operating heavy plant machinery (furnaces, presses, drawing blocks).
- Practical knowledge of lean tools (5S, Kaizen, basic troubleshooting).
- Strong leadership to direct a large crew of skilled and contract labourers.
- Explicit communication for floor instructions and structured shift handovers.
