Job Summary
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to architect, deploy, and maintain our cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will be responsible for containerized deployments, CI/CD automation, infrastructure scaling, monitoring, and ensuring high availability and security for our fitness-tech platform, Fymble. You will work closely with development teams to enable rapid, reliable, and secure software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage containerized application deployments using Amazon ECS (Fargate & EC2) with task definitions, service auto-scaling, and blue/green deployment strategies.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters using Amazon EKS, including namespaces, Helm charts, ingress controllers, deployments, and horizontal pod autoscaling.
- Configure and maintain Amazon S3 for object storage, static asset hosting, lifecycle policies, versioning, replication, and secure access management.
- Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or Jenkins for testing, building, and production deployments.
- Deploy and manage Celery workers and Celery Beat schedulers on ECS/EKS using Redis or RabbitMQ for distributed background processing.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and centralized logging using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation).
- Configure networking components including VPCs, subnets, security groups, Route 53, Application Load Balancers, Network Load Balancers, and SSL certificates with AWS Certificate Manager.
- Implement cloud security best practices including IAM policies, Secrets Manager, Parameter Store, container image scanning, and compliance monitoring.
- Develop disaster recovery strategies, automated backup solutions, cross-region replication, and incident response procedures.
- Optimize AWS infrastructure costs using Reserved Instances, Spot Instances, right-sizing, and AWS Cost Explorer.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize Docker images, deployment workflows, and infrastructure documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2-3 years of hands-on DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience with AWS.
- Strong experience with Amazon ECS (Fargate & EC2), task definitions, services, auto-scaling, and deployment strategies.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes (Amazon EKS), including pods, deployments, services, ConfigMaps, Ingress, and Helm charts.
- Proficiency with Amazon S3 including bucket policies, lifecycle rules, versioning, encryption, and cross-region replication.
- Experience deploying and managing Celery workers in containerized production environments.
- Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
- Robust Docker knowledge including multi-stage builds, image optimization,
container registries (Amazon ECR), and container security.
- Strong Linux administration skills and shell scripting using Bash.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals including VPCs, subnets, routing, DNS, load balancing, and security groups.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools including CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices, IAM, secrets management, and compliance standards.
