About the role

n

Phionike is looking for a Product Designer to work with us on complex digital products across B2B SaaS, enterprise platforms and emerging technology.

n

This role is for someone with a solid foundation in product design who wants to take on increasing ownership, from understanding product problems and designing thoughtful experiences to communicating decisions and progressively owning projects and client relationships.

n

We're less interested in the number of years on your résumé than in the quality of your thinking, craft, curiosity and ability to take responsibility.

What you'll do

n

- Understand product and user problems before moving into execution.
n
- Design clear, thoughtful user flows and high-quality interfaces.
n
- Work on complex digital products, platforms and design systems.
n
- Communicate design decisions to clients, founders, product managers and engineers.
n
- Work through incomplete briefs and help bring structure to ambiguous problems.
n
- Create interactive and high-fidelity prototypes.
n
- Participate in critiques and improve work through feedback.
n
- Gradually take greater ownership of features, projects and client communication.
n
- Experiment thoughtfully with AI-assisted and coded prototyping workflows.

What we're looking for

n

- Approximately 2–3 years of professional product,



UI or UX design experience.
n
- A portfolio demonstrating real product problems—not only polished screens.
n
- Strong visual hierarchy, typography, spacing and interaction-design fundamentals.
n
- Product thinking and the ability to explain the reasoning behind your decisions.
n
- Comfort working with ambiguity and asking useful questions.
n
- Clear, proactive communication.
n
- Openness to critique and evidence of continuous learning.
n
- Curiosity about emerging design, AI and prototyping tools.
n
- The ability to work remotely and meet the team periodically in Mumbai.
n

Experience with tools such as Figma, FigJam, AI-assisted prototyping or basic HTML/CSS is valuable, but thoughtful use of tools matters more than the length of your tool list.
