Location - Delhi NCR (Base location Delhi, with travel across assigned manufacturing units, warehouses and retail/cafe outlets)
Education - Bachelor's/master's degree in food technology, Dairy Technology,Biochemistryor a related discipline. FOSTAC Food Safety Supervisor certification preferred; ISO 22000 Internal Auditor certification is an added advantage.
Years of Experience - 10 years + of experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance/Control and Production/Operations, preferably within QSR, F&B; manufacturing or organised retail.
Areas of responsibility
- Implement and monitor Food Safety and Quality Assurance standards across assigned manufacturing unit(s), 3P vendors, warehousing and retail/cafe outlets.
- Ensure day-to-day compliance with FSSAI rules & regulations, Legal Metrology Rules and other applicable statutory requirements, including packaging, labelling and product-claim compliance.
- Conduct internal audits and plant/outlet hygiene and mystery audits within the assigned region; drive root-cause analysis and CAPA closure for non-conformances.
- Conduct supplier/vendor quality audits and support vendor categorisation and development.
- Monitor cold-chain compliance and support execution of safe supply chain guidelines.
- Support Recent Product Development (NPD) trials, shelf-life studies and packaging development in coordination with Production and R&D.;
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives at the unit/outlet level to reduce material loss and improve consistency; monitor Net Content/Net Weight compliance.
- Prepare and maintain SOPs, training records and product specifications; deliver food safety and hygiene training to plant/outlet teams.
- Coordinate with local statutory authorities on routine food safety and quality matters; guide and mentor QA executives/officers within the region.
Skills
- Working knowledge of food laws and regulations (FSSAI, Legal Metrology, HACCP/GMP/GHP/ISO 22000/ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001).
- Good problem-solving skills (root cause analysis, CAPA) and familiarity with process-improvement tools (5S/TPM/DMAIC).
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams (Production, Supply Chain, NPD, Operations) and vendors.
- Good communication and training/facilitation skills; comfortable operating across plants, warehouses and retail outlets.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region.
