Detailed Responsibilities:
All electronic hardware design and development (analog, digital and high-speed digital which includes high performance microcontrollers, microprocessors) and testing.
The design and development (D&D;) process is interactive and includes:
- Inputs from software and embedded software teams
- Inputs from production for mechanical.
- Familiarity with Electronics Design and Simulation Tools.
Following the D&D; process which must include the following activities:
- Interaction with Embedded Software team for selection of microcontroller, microprocessor and key programmable IOs with necessary artifacts
- Schematic Design with necessary artifacts.
- Bill of Materials preparation.
- PCB Layout design with necessary artifacts.
- Interaction with Purchase for component selection (for availability, price, and End of Life status) with necessary artifacts
- Design and Development activity documentation as per laid down guideline.
- Prototype PCB and system testing.
- Test Code development for hardware testing.
- Association with Firmware team during hardware and firmware integration
All product support which includes:
- Resolving all hardware related technical issues during Installation & Commissioning (I&C;)
- Resolving all hardware related technical issues during hardware and firmware integration.
- Resolution of Integration issues along with Production and Quality teams
- Repair/replacement of faulty modules during production as well as when faulty modules are returned by customer from the field
- Participating in Design Review Meetings and documentation.
- Maintenance of all hardware design equipment and tools
- Implementation of corrective and preventive actions in his area.
