Description

We are seeking an experienced Vice President to oversee and direct the commissioning and operations of our metals projects. This role is critical to the success of our business, as it involves managing complex processes and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the industry and a deep understanding of steel and metals production.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the commissioning process for new projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of steel and metals production facilities, optimizing performance and productivity.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage and mentor a team of commissioning and operations professionals, providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor and analyze operational data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Build and maintain solid relationships with clients, stakeholders,



and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability standards.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, driving innovation within the organization.

Qualifications

- A minimum of 36 years of experience in the steel, metals, and mining industry, with a focus on commissioning and operations.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with a successful track record in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of steel and metals production processes and technologies.
- Robust project management skills and the ability to oversee complex projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for operational management.
- A relevant engineering or operations management degree is preferred.
- Willingness to travel as required for project oversight.
