Description
The Senior Specialist – SAP will lead the architecture, configuration, and rollout of SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) modules, specifically Response and Supply Planning, within Bristlecone's SAP Planning – Delivery practice. The role requires close partnership with clients, functional consultants, and developers to translate business requirements into robust, future‑ready IBP solutions that optimize inventory, improve service levels, and enhance overall supply chain performance.

Responsibilities

- Gather and analyze business requirements for response and supply planning across multiple industries.
- Design end‑to‑end IBP solution architecture, including data models, master data integration, and planning operators.
- Configure SAP IBP Response & Supply modules, develop planning books, dashboards, and alerts.
- Lead workshops and knowledge‑transfer sessions for client stakeholders and internal teams.
- Integrate IBP with SAP ECC/S4HANA, SAP APO, and third‑party data sources using SAP Cloud Platform Integration.
- Perform unit, integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure solution quality.
- Provide post‑go‑live support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement recommendations.




- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to best‑practice documentation and templates.
- Stay current with SAP IBP roadmap, new features, and industry trends to drive innovation.
- Collaborate with sales and delivery leads to scope projects, estimate effort, and ensure profitability.

Qualifications

- 10+ years of experience in SAP IBP, with at least 5 years focused on Response & Supply Planning.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering end‑to‑end IBP implementations for large enterprises.
- Robust understanding of supply chain concepts: demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and capacity planning.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP ECC/S4HANA, SAP APO, and data integration tools (SAP CPI, SAP PO).
- SAP IBP certification (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate – IBP for Response & Supply) preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead workshops, present solutions, and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Experience with Agile project delivery and SAP Activate methodology.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% for client engagements.
