Description

We are looking for experienced business analytics skilled with experience in the general insurance industry in India. The ideal candidate shall have a combination of deep insurance domain understanding and analytical capabilities to support strategic decision-making

Key Role Requirements:

- Prior experience in the general insurance space with deep understanding of insurance domain across multiple lines, underwriting principles, key business drivers and data-driven decision making.
- Comfortable in utilizing analytical software and handling large datasets.
- Ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.

Technical Skills:

- PowerBI
- Alteryx
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel
- Python (preferred)

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

- Continuously monitor & evaluate portfolio performance across various Lines of Business.
- Analyse key insurance metrices, identify trends, emerging risks,



business opportunities, profitability drivers, and areas of improvements.
- Support underwriting teams with continuous analysis to support risk selection, segmentation, and maintain desired portfolio mix.
- Analyse loss costs to identify loss drivers, trends and loss patterns.
- Develop executive dashboards, analytical reports, and present insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders, including underwriting, sales, and claims teams, to effectively support data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s in statistics, mathematics, data science, actuarial examinations or a related discipline preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years
