As we scale, we are looking for an experienced Senior Accounting Associate who can independently manage client accounts, review month-end work, guide junior team members, and maintain high standards of accuracy and quality.

What success looks like: accurate and fully reconciled books, timely month-end closes, thorough reviews with minimal errors, stronger junior team performance, and clients who trust the quality of your work.

What You'll Own

n

n
- Independently manage bookkeeping and accounting for multiple US clients
n
- Review weekly bookkeeping and month-end work completed by junior team members
n
- Lead the month-end close process and ensure all deadlines are met
n
- Review bank and credit card reconciliations, general ledgers, suspense accounts, accruals, prepayments, payroll liabilities, loans, AR, and AP
n
- Identify errors, missing entries, unusual balances, and reconciliation issues
n
- Ensure financial statements are accurate and ready for management review
n
- Provide clear review notes and ensure corrections are completed
n
- Train, mentor, and support junior accounting team members
n
- Monitor recurring errors and recommend process improvements
n
- Communicate directly with clients and lead meetings regarding deliverables and accounting queries

What You Bring

n

Essential

n

n
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce
n
- Minimum 10 years of relevant accounting, bookkeeping, or auditing experience
n
- Robust experience in reviewing month-end closes and financial statements
n
- Experience managing or reviewing the work of junior team members
n
- Knowledge of US GAAP and US accounting principles would be an added advantage
n
- Advanced Excel skills
n
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills
n
- Strong written and verbal English communication
n
- Ability to manage multiple clients and meet strict deadlines
n

Preferred

n

- Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop
n
- Experience working with US-based clients and India/US teams
n
- Experience with accounting tools such as Bill.com, Gusto, Karbon, Shopify, or Amazon Seller Central
n
- Experience developing SOPs, review checklists, and process improvements
n
