About the Role: We are seeking a Furniture Designer to join our team in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing cutting-edge furniture designs and collaborating with various teams to ensure quality and specifications are met.
Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative and functional furniture designs that align with the company's aesthetic and market trends.
- Create sketches, renderings, and prototypes to visualize design concepts.
- Select and specify materials, finishes, and hardware for furniture pieces, ensuring durability and aesthetics.
- Oversee the creation of prototypes and sample pieces, ensuring they adhere to design specifications and quality standards.
- Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for production.
- Provide clear instructions and documentation for the production team.
- Address any design issues or production challenges that arise, implementing solutions as needed.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously,
ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
- Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to deadlines.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in Furniture or Interior design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design or a related field.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and ergonomics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
