Position : Analyst/Lead Analyst

n

Role & Responsibility

n

•Design, development, review and maintenance of investment benchmarks/indices, particularly debt benchmarks, including constituent selection, eligibility criteria, weighting, rebalancing and review methodology.

n

•Analyse equity and debt portfolios and evaluate investment performance against appropriate benchmarks, peers and defined performance parameters.

n

•Support valuation and risk analysis of debt securities, including YTM, duration, yield curve, credit spreads, liquidity and market pricing.

n

•Analyse equity and debt portfolios and evaluate investment performance against appropriate benchmarks, peers and defined performance parameters.

n

•Perform portfolio risk assessment covering credit risk, liquidity risk, market/interest-rate risk, concentration risk, issuer risk, sector risk and other relevant portfolio risks.

n

•Evaluate asset allocation, sector allocation, duration, credit quality, security selection etc and assess their impact on portfolio performance and risk.

n

•Conduct performance attribution and comparative analysis to identify key drivers of portfolio outperformance/underperformance, including asset allocation and security selection.

n

•Undertake scenario analysis and stress testing to assess portfolio resilience under adverse market conditions, including interest-rate shocks,



credit-rating downgrades, equity-market corrections and liquidity stress.

•Review portfolio management and investment processes, including trade execution, settlement, reconciliation, reporting, data quality and operational risk, and identify areas for improvement.

Skills

n

•Strong analytical, quantitative and data interpretation skills with advanced MS Excel proficiency.

n

n
- Understanding of bond valuation, YTM, duration, yield curve, credit spreads and fixed-income risk metrics.
n

n

•Knowledge or practical exposure to debt benchmark/index design, construction, maintenance and rebalancing.

n

•Strong understanding of Indian equity and debt markets and investment products.

n

•Robust knowledge of credit, liquidity, market, interest-rate, concentration and portfolio risks.

n

•Pro-active and self-motivated individual

n

Educational Qualification/ work experience

n

•MBA/PGDM (Finance), CFA, CA, FRM or equivalent qualification preferred.

n

•1–4 years of relevant experience in investment research, portfolio analytics, asset management, investment consulting, risk management, insurance/pension/provident funds, debt research or capital markets.

n

•Candidates with hands-on experience in debt markets, portfolio risk analysis, investment performance evaluation or benchmark/index development will be preferred.

n

•Strong Excel and analytical skills to collate and analyze a wide range of information

n

•Verbal and written communication skills in English

n

•Good organization skills and very high attention to details

n

•Good time management and prioritization; managing priorities while maintaining high standards; and to work in a team.
