Craft My Plate
Hyderabad
Job Description
CraftMyPlate is Hyderabad's go-to platform for food experiences for micro-events—house parties, birthdays, office celebrations, festive gatherings, and more. We are building the operating system for how India discovers, customises, and orders food for smaller events.
n
n
Started in Hyderabad and backed by established founders and investors, CraftMyPlate is a funded, fast-growing startup working at the intersection of food, technology, and consumer experience. You will work closely with a sharp cross-functional team across growth, product, operations, supply chain, and customer experience—and have a direct role in shaping how the business scales.

Your Role
n
This is not a conventional banquet-sales or "quotation-and-follow-up" role. We're looking for someone who has run the sales and the operational side of catering or banquets at scale—someone who knows what it takes to close a booking, and equally, what it takes to execute a flawless event on the ground. You'll bring that dual lens to CraftMyPlate as we scale beyond micro-events into larger catering and corporate/community occasions, and help us become the default choice for every event in Hyderabad, big or small.
n
n
What You'll Own
n
n
- Own high-value and large-scale catering conversations end-to-end—understanding occasion, guest count, budget, menu preferences, and timelines, and translating that into the right CraftMyPlate experience.
n
- Convert inbound and self-sourced leads into confirmed bookings through sharp consultation, timely follow-through, and confident closing—not just sending menus and waiting.
n
- Take ownership of execution readiness for larger events: coordinating with kitchen, catering ops, and on-ground teams to make sure what's sold gets delivered without surprises.
n
- Build and manage a disciplined pipeline across corporate, community, RWA, and repeat/referral catering opportunities—no missed follow-ups, no leads without context.
n
- Bring your hospitality and banquet background into the room—identify what corporate and large-event clients actually expect, and push CraftMyPlate's offering to match and exceed those standards.
n
- Feed real customer and on-ground insights back to founders, product, and ops teams—what large clients ask for, where deals stall, what makes an event succeed or fail operationally.
n
- Explore recent channels for larger bookings: corporate tie-ups, event planners, banquet/venue partnerships, and community networks.
n
- Own your numbers: pipeline value, conversion rate, average order value, repeat and referral rate, and revenue contribution from larger accounts.
n

n
What We're Looking For
n
n
- Someone who has actually run banquet or large-scale catering sales and operations—not someone who has only sold, or only executed, but someone who has done both and understands how the two connect.
n
- A person who is sharp and street-smart in conversations, builds client trust quickly, and can read a room—whether it's a corporate client, an event planner, or a family hosting a large celebration.
n
- Someone who has outgrown the structure of a traditional hotel or banquet hall and is actively looking for a bigger, less bounded role with more ownership and faster growth.
n
- A strong sense of ownership—if a large event has a gap, a client has a concern, or an opportunity needs chasing, you take it to closure without waiting to be told.
n
- Someone comfortable with targets, ambiguity, and the pace of an early-stage startup—this is a very different environment from a hotel banquet department,
and we want someone who's ready for that shift, not intimidated by it.
n
- A person who wants to build a long-term career in business, growth, or hospitality-meets-consumer-tech, and sees this as a launchpad rather than a lateral move.
n
n
n
Skills & Requirements
n
n
- Minimum 3 years of experience in banquet sales, catering sales, hotel operations, or event/hospitality management, with clear exposure to both closing business and executing on-ground.
n
- A degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality is required; prior experience working in hotels, banquet halls, or large catering operations is a must.
n
- Proven track record of handling large-scale catering or banquet operations—guest counts, vendor coordination, event-day execution—not just small or one-off orders.
n
- Excellent spoken and written English; Hindi and Telugu are strong advantages.
n
- Comfortable speaking with clients over phone, WhatsApp, and in person, including site visits and on-ground event coordination when required.
n
- Experience using a CRM or managing structured lead and event pipelines is preferred.
n
- Ability to read basic sales and ops data and sharpen your own performance through disciplined execution.
n
- Based in Hyderabad or willing to work from Hyderabad.
n
n
n
What This Role Is Not
n
n
- It is not a traditional banquet-hall or hotel sales role with fixed scripts, fixed packages, and slow-moving approvals.
n
- It is not a role limited to sending menus and quotations and waiting for a client to decide.
n
- It is not suitable for someone who needs daily instructions to manage priorities, follow-ups, or event execution.
n
- It is not a narrowly defined, hierarchy-heavy corporate hospitality role.
n
n
n
At CraftMyPlate, you will learn directly from people building a category-defining company, work with talented teams across functions, and see a clear, fast connection between your work and the company's growth.
