About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Controller to lead financial service delivery across key U.S.-based client accounts. This role serves as a critical bridge between accounting execution and advisory-focused financial leadership, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and insight-ready financial information.

The Controller will partner closely with clients, Venturity Controllers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality financial reporting, identify risks and opportunities, and support informed business decision-making. Success in this role requires strong accounting expertise, client relationship management, leadership capability, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Key Responsibilities

n

Client Ownership & Strategic Delivery

n

n
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client engagements and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
n
- Build strong working relationships with clients, Venturity Controllers, and internal stakeholders.
n
- Participate in client financial reviews and summits, presenting results, business drivers, risks, and recommendations.
n
- Support onboarding, transitions, scope expansion, and process improvement across client accounts.
n

Close Management & Financial Reporting

n

n
- Manage month-end close activities for assigned clients, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
n
- Review close binders, reconciliations, financial statements, and reporting packages before client submission.
n
- Maintain close calendars, coordinate deliverables, and meet reporting deadlines.
n
- Analyze financial results, variances, trends, and business drivers to highlight key issues and opportunities.
n

Financial Insight & Advisory Support

n

- Translate accounting outputs into transparent financial insights and business narratives.
n




- Explain performance changes, underlying drivers, and potential business impact.
n
- Anticipate operational and financial risks and recommend corrective actions.
n
- Support advisory discussions with decision-ready analysis and reporting.

Client Communication & Stakeholder Management

n

- Ensure client communications are timely, professional, and solution-oriented.
n
- Share weekly updates, key action items, and critical business developments.
n
- Facilitate client and internal review meetings to align priorities and deliverables.
n
- Escalate risks, delays, or issues with practical recommendations and resolution plans.
n

Team Leadership & Performance Management

n

- Mentor, coach, and support Assistant Controllers and Senior Assistant Controllers across engagements.
n
- Review key deliverables for quality, accuracy, and completeness before client submission.
n
- Provide developmental feedback and support career growth initiatives.
n
- Foster accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
n

Technical Expertise & Process Excellence

n

n
- Act as a subject matter expert in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
n
- Provide guidance on complex accounting matters and reporting challenges.
n
- Ensure accounting policies, procedures, and documentation standards are consistently applied.
n
- Enhance SOPs, review frameworks, reporting methodologies,



and ERP-enabled efficiencies.
n

Process Improvement & Automation

n

n
- Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and workflow optimization.
n
- Drive initiatives that improve scalability, efficiency, and reporting quality.
n
- Resolve recurring process issues through root-cause analysis and corrective action planning.
n
- Champion best practices and continuous improvement across client engagements.
n

Controls, Governance & Quality Reviews

n

n
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and established accounting policies.
n
- Conduct quality reviews and monitor binder quality, reporting accuracy, and process adherence.
n
- Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and client-related risks.
n
- Drive closure of review observations and promote quality, accountability, and risk awareness.
n

Qualifications & Requirements

n

n
- CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
n
- 8+ years of accounting experience, including month-end close and financial reporting.
n
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and controllership practices.
n
- Experience supporting U.S.-based clients in shared services, outsourcing, or professional services environments.
n
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Xero, or equivalent.
n
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.
