At Yellow Tree Interiors, we design homes that are functional, timeless, and tailored to every client's lifestyle. As we expand into specialty solid wood furniture, we're looking for a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Designer with robust expertise in teak and solid wood craftsmanship to join our team. Bringing custom furniture concepts to life from initial sketches to production-ready designs.

✅ Design custom solid wood furniture pieces, with a focus on teak, for residential interior projects
✅ Develop concept sketches, 3D models, and detailed technical drawings
✅ Select appropriate solid wood species, grains, finishes, and hardware for each piece
✅ Prepare production-ready drawings with accurate dimensions and joinery specifications
✅ Generate CNC toolpaths for carved panels, motifs, and decorative detailing
✅ Work closely with carpenters and the production team to ensure traditional and modern joinery techniques are executed accurately
✅ Collaborate with Interior Designers to align furniture design with overall project themes
✅ Review prototypes and finished pieces for quality, grain consistency, and craftsmanship
✅ Stay updated on solid wood furniture trends, seasoning techniques, and manufacturing best practices




✅ Troubleshoot design or execution challenges during production

✔️ Solid Experience in Solid Wood Furniture Design, especially Teak
✔️ In-depth Knowledge of Wood Types, Grain, Seasoning & Wood Movement
✔️ SketchUp & Enscape
✔️ AutoCAD & Technical Drawings
✔️ ArtCAM (CNC Toolpath Generation for Carving & Decorative Detailing)
✔️ Understanding of Joinery Techniques (mortise & tenon, dovetail, etc.)
✔️ Technical Drawing & Detailing Skills
✔️ Attention to Detail & Craftsmanship
✔️ Ability to Collaborate with Design & Production Teams
✔️ Problem Solving & Hands-On Execution Mindset
