Position: State Financial Controller - Maharashtra

Qualification : CA / ICWA / MBA – Finance

Key Responsibilities:

n

1. Financial Reporting & Compliance:

n

n
- Oversee the preparation and review of accurate and timely financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual), ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
n
- Ensure the organization adheres to financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.
n
- Manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared.
n

2. Financial Control & Process Improvement:

n

n
- Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
n
- Continuously improve accounting processes, including the automation and streamlining of financial reporting and reconciliation procedures.
n
- Ensure timely and accurate financial close and reporting cycles.
n

n

3. Budgeting & Financial Planning:

n

n
- Lead the budgeting process, including forecasting and financial analysis.
n
- Develop and implement strategic financial plans that align with organizational goals.
n
- Monitor and manage the company's financial performance, identifying and addressing potential issues related to cash flow, revenue, and cost management.
n

4. Team Leadership & Development:

- Manage and mentor the finance team, setting clear performance expectations and fostering professional development.
n
- Provide leadership in a high-performance culture, ensuring the team's effectiveness and engagement.
n
- Oversee recruitment, training, and retention of finance professionals, ensuring strong bench strength.
n

5. Cash Flow Management & Treasury:

n

n
- Oversee cash flow management and ensure the business has adequate liquidity to meet operational needs.
n
- Monitor working capital, capital expenditures, and financing needs, making recommendations to improve financial health.
n

n

6. Financial Analysis & Strategic Support:

n

n
- Provide timely and accurate financial analysis to support decision-making, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and financial projections.
n
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals align with business objectives.
n
- Support senior leadership with insights and advice on financial strategy, growth, and operational improvements.
n

7. Risk Management:

n

- Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
n
- Lead efforts in insurance management, compliance risk, and other financial risks.
n
- Ensure effective risk assessment and management frameworks are in place to protect the organization's assets.
n

n

8. Stakeholder Communication:

n

n
- Prepare and present financial reports and updates to senior management, the board of directors, and other stakeholders.
n
- Communicate financial performance, key metrics, and strategic recommendations to non-financial stakeholders in a explicit and actionable way.
