Position Overview

n

We are seeking professionals who can provide strong academic and administrative leadership, manage multiple academic programs, support faculty and student development, and contribute to institutional growth and academic excellence.

n

n

Candidates with experience as Dean, Principal, Director, or equivalent senior academic leadership positions will be considered, subject to their academic credentials, leadership experience, and domain expertise.

n

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide academic and administrative leadership for the programs assigned under the Dean’s Office.
n
- Oversee the effective functioning of multiple academic programs across Engineering, Management, and other multidisciplinary disciplines.
n
- Monitor academic delivery, including regular class monitoring, teaching quality, academic schedules, student engagement, and learning outcomes.
n
- Lead and support Heads of Departments, Program Heads, faculty members, and academic teams.
n
- Ensure effective faculty management, including workload allocation, faculty deployment, performance monitoring, mentoring, and career development.
n
- Oversee curriculum development, review, enrichment, and continuous improvement in accordance with academic and industry requirements.
n
- Ensure effective implementation of academic calendars, timetables, examinations, assessments, and institutional academic policies.
n
- Provide leadership and support for NAAC, NBA, and other accreditation and quality-assurance initiatives.
n
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and institutional academic standards.
n




- Promote research, publications, Ph.D. supervision, consultancy, innovation, and industry-academia collaboration.
n
- Support the development and implementation of new academic programs and interdisciplinary initiatives.
n
- Monitor academic performance and prepare periodic academic reviews, MIS, and reports for senior management.
n
- Address academic and student-related concerns and ensure timely resolution.
n
- Coordinate closely with administrative, examination, admissions, placement, HR, and other institutional functions.
n
- Contribute to academic planning, policy formulation, institutional development, and strategic initiatives.
n
- Ensure strong academic governance, discipline, accountability, and operational effectiveness within the assigned portfolio.

Qualifications & Experience

n

n
- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline from a recognized university/institution is mandatory.
n
- Candidate should have been in the Professor cadre on or before 2018.
n
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the Professor cadre is preferred.
n
- Strong practical exposure to NAAC, NBA, and other accreditation and quality-assurance processes.
n
- Overall 15+ years of academic experience with substantial exposure to academic leadership and administration.
n




- Proven experience as a Principal, Director, Dean , or equivalent senior academic leadership position.
n
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary academic portfolios, preferably involving 5–6 or more academic programs.
n
- Candidates from Engineering, Management, and other relevant multidisciplinary academic backgrounds will be considered.
n
- Strong experience in faculty management, academic administration, class monitoring, curriculum planning, and academic quality management.
n

Research & Academic Contributions

n
- Should have successfully guided at least 2 Ph.D. scholars.
n
- Strong research profile with quality publications will be preferred.
n
- Experience in research projects, funded projects, consultancy, innovation, or industry-academia initiatives will be an added advantage.
n
- Demonstrated contribution to academic development and institutional growth.
