Role Overview:

The Early Years Educator at Ekya VANA creates a safe, joyful, and inquiry-led learning environment where young children grow cognitively, socially, emotionally, and physically through meaningful nature-based experiences.

The educator nurtures curiosity, care, confidence, and responsibility, supporting children in noticing, wondering, and acting with respect toward themselves, others, and the Earth.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and facilitate developmentally appropriate, inquiry-led learning experiences
n
- Integrate nature exploration, gardening, and sustainability practices into daily routines
n
- Observe, document, and reflect on children's learning journeys
n
- Foster children's social-emotional wellbeing, independence, and mindfulness
n
- Support eco-stewardship activities such as composting and conservation
n
- Communicate clearly and warmly with parents and caregivers
n
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to uphold Ekya Vana's philosophy and values
n
- Maintain protected, inclusive, and nurturing learning environments
n

Qualifications & Skills:
n
n
- Graduate, with NTT / MTT / ECE / Montessori training preferred
n
- Minimum 3 years of experience in early childhood education
n
- Demonstrated ability in lesson planning, designing developmentally appropriate, inquiry-led learning experiences
n
- Strong spoken English and clear communication skills
n
- A genuine interest in nature-based learning, outdoor engagement, gardening, or environmental care
n
- Strong belief in play-based learning and early childhood pedagogy
n
- Effective parent communication and partnership-building skills
n
- A warm, reflective, and observant approach to working with young children
n
