Field Coordinator – Crop Insurance & Crop Cutting Experiments (CCE)

Qualification

n

Graduation: Preferably in Agriculture or relevant fields such as Horticulture, Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences.

n

Experience

n

2–5 years of relevant field experience in:

n

n
- Crop Cutting Experiments (CCE)
n
- PMFBY / Crop Insurance implementation
n
- Agricultural field surveys and crop assessment
n
- Crop health monitoring and risk assessment
n
- Field team coordination and supervision
n

n

Job Responsibilities

n

n
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise fieldwork like Crop Cutting Experiments (CCE) and crop image collections as per prescribed guidelines.
n
- Conduct and/or supervise field visits for crop assessment, crop health monitoring, and yield estimation.
n
- Coordinate with Agriculture Department officials, district/tehsil administration, insurance companies, and other stakeholders for smooth implementation of crop insurance activities.
n
- Manage field staff, including manpower planning, recruitment, training, deployment, and performance monitoring.
n
- Ensure accurate and timely collection, verification, and reporting of field data.
n
- Identify and report field-level risks, crop damage, and deviations in crop conditions.
n
- Maintain proper documentation, records, reports, and field activity updates.
n
- Ensure adherence to project guidelines, timelines,



quality standards, and field protocols.
n
- Travel extensively within assigned districts/regions for field inspections and related activities.
n

Required Skills

n

n
- Robust understanding of agriculture and crop production practices.
n
- Practical knowledge of CCE procedures and crop yield estimation.
n
- Comfortable with extensive field travel.
n
- Basic knowledge of MS Office/Google Workspace and mobile-based field data collection tools.
n
- Ability to work independently and manage field operations within deadlines.
n

Preferred Candidate Profile

n

n
- Candidates with prior experience as a CCE Supervisor, Field Coordinator, Tehsil Coordinator, District Coordinator, Crop Insurance Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, or Field Operations Executive will be preferred.
n
- Experience with insurance companies, PMFBY implementation agencies, agricultural survey organisations, Agri-insurance companies, or agricultural field projects will be an added advantage.
n

Key Requirement

n

Hands-on experience in Crop Cutting Experiments (CCE) and field-level crop insurance/PMFBY implementation is mandatory.
