Position Summary
n
The Placement Officer is responsible for supporting and executing institutional placement activities by coordinating with recruiters, students, faculty coordinators, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful campus recruitment outcomes.
n
The role focuses on corporate outreach, placement operations, internship coordination, student engagement, recruiter servicing, drive execution, MIS reporting, and achievement of departmental placement targets. The Placement Officer acts as a critical bridge between the institution, industry, and students to facilitate quality placement opportunities and enhance employability outcomes.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
n
1. Placement Operations & Campus Recruitment
n
n
- Coordinate end-to-end campus recruitment activities for UG and PG programs.
n
- Organize placement drives, interviews, online assessments, group discussions, and pre-placement talks.
n
- Manage recruiter schedules, interview panels, and placement logistics.
n
- Ensure smooth execution of on-campus, off-campus, virtual, and hybrid recruitment drives.
n
- Maintain placement calendars and student participation records.
n
n
2. Corporate Relations & Employer Engagement
n
n
- Build and maintain relationships with recruiters, HR professionals, and industry partners.
n
- Identify and approach new companies for campus recruitment and internship opportunities.
n
- Support corporate tie-ups, industry collaborations, and MoU activities.
n
- Coordinate recruiter visits and ensure high-quality recruiter experience.
n
- Conduct regular follow-ups with companies regarding hiring requirements and drive confirmations.
n
n
3. Student Coordination & Guidance
n
n
- Communicate placement opportunities, eligibility criteria, schedules, and process updates to students.
n
- Guide students regarding recruitment processes,
corporate expectations, and placement policies.
n
- Coordinate with faculty coordinators and HODs for ensuring student participation.
n
- Counsel students regarding career opportunities, job roles, and employability expectations.
n
- Monitor placement preparedness and participation levels.
n
n
4. Internship Coordination
n
n
- Coordinate internship opportunities and internship-related processes.
n
- Maintain internship records, employer databases, and internship tracking reports.
n
- Liaise with industry partners for internship-to-PPO opportunities.
n
n
5. Placement MIS & Documentation
n
n
- Maintain accurate records of:
n
- Student registrations
n
- Placement status
n
- Offers received
n
- Company databases
n
- Recruiter interactions
n
- Internship records
n
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual placement reports.
n
- Support data preparation for accreditation, ranking, audits, and management review meetings.
n
n
6. Training & Employability Support
n
n
- Coordinate training programs in association with the Training Team.
n
- Support mock interviews, aptitude assessments, soft skills sessions, and employability initiatives.
n
- Provide recruiter feedback to training teams for targeted student development.
n
n
7. Event Management & Stakeholder Coordination
n
n
- Support organization of:

- Coordinate hospitality, logistics, scheduling, and communication during events.

Required Qualifications
n
n
- Bachelor's Degree in Management, Commerce, HR, Business Administration, or related field.
n
- MBA / PGDM preferred.
n
n
