Role & responsibilities
Lead competitive benchmarking studies for suspension bushings, links, mounts, rubber-to-metal, and chassis components.
Plan and execute product teardown activities, dimensional measurements, and comparative engineering analyses.
Analyze competitor designs, materials, manufacturing processes, cost structures, and performance characteristics.
Conduct patent reviews and intellectual property assessments to identify emerging technologies and competitive innovations.
Develop comprehensive benchmarking reports, technical presentations, and actionable engineering recommendations.
Perform competitive gap assessments and support product enhancement initiatives.
Maintain benchmarking databases, comparison matrices, measurement records, and engineering documentation.
Evaluate suspension systems, bushings, mounts,



and other NVH-related components for performance and design optimization.
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T; requirements, material specifications, and manufacturing standards.
Identify industry trends, current materials, creative manufacturing methods, and emerging technologies.
Present benchmarking findings and recommendations during technical design reviews and management meetings.
Assess IP risks, competitive threats, and technical concerns while supporting product development teams.
Collaborate closely with Design, Simulation, Manufacturing, Testing, Purchasing, and Program Management teams.
