Role & responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components for company products.
Work closely with assembly and procurement teams to ensure smooth product development.
Understand customer and market requirements and translate them into practical mechanical designs.
Participate in design reviews and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Design mechanical parts considering material selection, manufacturability, ergonomics, and end-user requirements.
Optimize product designs for durability, ruggedness, and overall cost.
Provide timely technical support and resolve mechanical design-related production issues.
Coordinate with the shop floor and production teams for design implementation and improvements.
Preferred candidate profile
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
4 to 6 years of experience in Mechanical Design.
Hands-on experience with 2D and 3D CAD/design software.
Experience in machine design / Special Purpose Machines (SPM) is highly preferred.
Positive understanding of engineering materials and their properties.
Knowledge of mechanical OEM component selection.
Experience working closely with manufacturing/assembly and shop-floor teams.
Valuable understanding of mechanical components, manufacturing, and product development.
Solid problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
