Quantity Surveyor (QS) – Role & Responsibilities
Take accurate measurements of all completed painting works at project sites.
Prepare measurement sheets, quantity statements, and client/subcontractor bills.
Prepare and verify RA bills, final bills, and work completion bills based on actual executed quantities.
Measure and calculate quantities for internal, external, ceiling, primer, putty, texture, metal, wood, and other painting works.
Verify measurements with the site team/client/consultant as required.
Check executed quantities against BOQ, work orders, drawings, and approved rates.
Identify and prepare variation/additional work statements.
Verify subcontractor bills based on actual site measurements and agreed rates.
Maintain project-wise measurement, billing, and quantity records.
Coordinate with Site Supervisors and Project Managers for work progress and billing requirements.
Coordinate with clients/consultants for measurement verification and bill certification.
Ensure timely submission of accurate bills and supporting documents.
Visit different project sites across Bangalore as required.
RequirementsDiploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying preferred.
1–5 years of experience in QS, billing, or construction-related works.
Experience in building painting/finishing works and painting billing preferred.
Valuable knowledge of measurements, BOQ, billing, and quantity calculations.
Positive knowledge of MS Excel.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel is required.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Positive communication and coordination skills.
Must be able to ride a two-wheeler and have a valid driving licence.
Willingness to travel across Bangalore for site measurements.
