Job Summary

Harsha Institute of Pharmacy is seeking a qualified and dedicated Pharmacognosy faculty member to contribute to teaching, research, student mentoring, and academic development. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, guiding students, and supporting departmental activities in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy students in the field of Pharmacognosy.
Prepare lesson plans, lecture materials, laboratory manuals, and assessment tools.
Conduct practical classes and ensure proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and records.
Guide and mentor students in academic, research, and project activities.
Participate in curriculum development and academic planning.
Undertake research activities, publications, and grant proposals.
Maintain student attendance, internal assessment records, and academic documentation.
Organize seminars, workshops, industrial visits, and guest lectures.
Participate in accreditation, inspection, and regulatory compliance activities.




Contribute to departmental and institutional committees and administrative responsibilities.
Support placement, admissions, and outreach activities of the institution.

Qualification Requirements
B.Pharm and M.Pharm in Pharmacognosy from a recognized university.
Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in Pharmacognosy.
Qualifications and experience should be as per PCI, AICTE, and applicable university norms.

Experience
Freshers with excellent academic records may apply for Assistant Professor positions.
Relevant teaching, research, or industry experience will be preferred.
Experience in handling laboratory sessions, research projects, and academic administration is desirable.

Skills Required
Solid subject knowledge in Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Research aptitude and publication record.
Ability to mentor and guide students.
Positive organizational and administrative skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and academic documentation.

Salary
As per institutional norms and candidate qualifications/experience.

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
