Position & Salary Range (in thousands)
Captain : 15,000 - 20,000 per month
Kitchen Helper : 10,000 per month
Steward : 10,000 - 15,000 per month
About the Role
We are looking for a professional and customer-focused Restaurant Captain to lead and support the front-of-house team and ensure smooth, efficient, and friendly service. The Captain will be responsible for coordinating service, attending to guests, maintaining service standards, and supporting the restaurant team during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and assist guests in a professional and friendly manner
Coordinate and supervise service staff during daily operations
Take and accurately communicate guest orders to the kitchen and beverage team
Ensure food and beverages are served correctly and according to restaurant standards
Monitor table service and ensure guests receive prompt and attentive service
Handle guest requests, questions, and complaints professionally
Ensure tables, dining areas, and service stations are clean and properly set
Coordinate with the kitchen and barista/beverage team to ensure smooth service
Check food presentation and service quality before serving where applicable
Assist with opening and closing procedures
Handle POS and cash transactions accurately where required
Support staff during peak hours and ensure effective table turnover
Maintain proper knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and available products
Monitor stock levels of service items and report shortages to the supervisor
Ensure restaurant hygiene, food safety, and service standards are followed
Train and guide junior
