The Electric Vehicle (EV) Hardware Lab Trainer is responsible for planning, conducting, and supervising practical laboratory sessions related to Electric Vehicle technologies. The trainer will provide hands-on training on EV components, battery systems, power electronics, motor drives, charging infrastructure, vehicle diagnostics, and safety practices while ensuring proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and supporting research, innovation, and industry collaboration.
Key Responsibilities1. Laboratory Training
Conduct practical sessions on EV hardware systems.
Demonstrate assembly and disassembly of EV components.
Train students on electric drivetrain architecture.
Explain the working principles of EV subsystems using practical demonstrations.
Develop competency-based practical exercises and assessments.
Battery Technology Training
Train students on Lithium-ion battery technologies.
Demonstrate Battery Management System (BMS) operation.
Conduct battery testing, balancing, and health monitoring.
Explain battery charging, discharging,
and thermal management.
Guide protected battery handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
EV Power Electronics
Train students on:
DC-DC Converters
AC-DC Chargers
Inverters
Rectifiers
Motor Controllers
Power Modules
Demonstrate testing using laboratory instruments.
Troubleshoot power electronic circuits.
Electric Motor & Drive Systems
Demonstrate:
BLDC Motors
PMSM Motors
Induction Motors
Hub Motors
Train students on:
Motor controller programming
Speed control
Torque measurement
Regenerative braking concepts
Charging Infrastructure
Demonstrate AC and DC charging systems.
Explain EV charging standards (e.g., CCS, CHAdeMO, Type 2, GB/T as applicable).
Train students on charging station installation and operation.
Conduct charging system diagnostics and troubleshooting.
