Job Summary

The Primary Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, competency-based Mathematics instruction aligned with the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will develop students' foundational numeracy, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills through activity-based, experiential, and child-centered learning while ensuring a secure, inclusive, and positive classroom workplace.

Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Learning
Plan and deliver Mathematics lessons as per the CBSE curriculum.
Develop conceptual understanding through activity-based and experiential learning.
Use digital tools, manipulatives, games, and real-life examples to make learning meaningful.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Encourage critical thinking, logical reasoning, and mathematical communication.
Integrate Mathematics with STEM and interdisciplinary learning wherever appropriate.
Curriculum Planning
Prepare annual plans, unit plans, lesson plans, and teaching-learning materials.
Design worksheets, assignments, projects,



and enrichment activities.
Maintain curriculum pacing in accordance with the academic calendar.
Assessment & Evaluation
Conduct formative and summative assessments.
Prepare competency-based question papers and assessment rubrics.
Analyse student performance and implement remedial and enrichment programmes.
Maintain assessment records and report cards.
Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
Classroom Management
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom.
Promote cooperative learning and active student participation.
Ensure classroom safety and student well-being.
Parent Communication
Conduct Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
Share student progress and suggest strategies for improvement.
Respond professionally to parent queries.
