To lead the Die Shop operations, ensuring availability of high-quality extrusion dies, optimizing die performance, reducing downtime, and supporting production efficiency through effective tooling management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage complete Die Shop operations including die manufacturing, maintenance, correction, and modification.
Ensure timely availability of dies as per production schedules.
Monitor die life cycle and implement improvement initiatives.
Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments.
Implement preventive maintenance schedules for dies.
Lead troubleshooting of die-related production issues.
Develop SOPs and best practices for die maintenance and storage.
Manage manpower, productivity, and cost optimization initiatives.
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
Die availability >98%.
Reduction in die failure rates.
Improvement in die life and productivity.
Reduction in production losses due to die issues.
Achievement of maintenance and cost targets.
Team productivity and skill development.
Technical Requirements
Aluminum extrusion die manufacturing.
Tool steel properties and heat treatment.
Die correction and modification techniques.
CAD/CAM systems.
TPM and Lean Manufacturing.
Root Cause Analysis.
Qualification
BE/B.Tech (Mechanical/Production/Metallurgy)
Experience
15+ years in Extrusion Industry with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
