Utthunga is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Controls & Instrumentation Technicians to support the daily operations, preventive maintenance, and upgrade projects of industrial control systems. This hands-on role involves working directly with field instrumentation, control panels, and SCADA systems, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform routine checks, preventive maintenance (PM), and troubleshooting of control systems and various field instrumentation.
- Assist in the commissioning and testing of control system upgrades and modifications.
- Support the installation and calibration of sensors, transmitters, actuators, and other field devices.
- Monitor system performance and promptly report any anomalies or deviations.
- Maintain instrumentation inventory, ensuring tools and maintenance logs are accurate and up-to-date.
- Ensure the proper functioning of control panels, I/O modules, and network connections.
- Strictly follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures during all maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with OEMs and vendors during service visits or equipment replacements.
- Provide essential support during shutdowns, startups, and emergency maintenance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of instrumentation principles.
- Hands-on experience with various field devices (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow, level instruments).
- Practical knowledge of instrument termination.
- Ability to effectively use multimeters, calibrators, and other diagnostic tools.
Soft Skills:
- Valuable communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Willingness to work in shifts and respond to urgent issues as required.
Education & Experience:
- ITI / Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or instrumentation roles.
