Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Preventive Maintenance Engineer with 2 to 10 years of experience in forging preventive press maintenance. The candidate will be responsible for planning and executing preventive maintenance activities for forging presses, hydraulic systems, mechanical equipment, utilities, and associated machinery to ensure maximum equipment availability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance activities for forging presses and related equipment.
- Monitor equipment health and ensure minimum machine breakdowns.
- Perform maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and utility systems.
- Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules for forging presses, manipulators, trimming presses, and conveyors.
- Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and machine history cards.
- Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve machine availability.
- Ensure availability of critical spare parts and maintain inventory records.
- Participate in shutdown maintenance planning and execution.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major breakdowns.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and TPM standards.




- Support continuous improvement initiatives for machine reliability and productivity.
- Monitor hydraulic oil condition, lubrication schedules, and machine parameters.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of forging press maintenance (Mechanical/ Hydraulic).
- Experience in maintenance of:
- Mechanical Presses
- Hydraulic Forging Presses
- Trimming Presses
- Pneumatic Systems
- Hydraulic Power Packs
- Lubrication Systems
- Conveyors and Material Handling Equipment

- Knowledge of TPM, Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Breakdown Analysis.
- Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
- Valuable troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with safety standards and maintenance documentation.

Educational Qualification

- ITI/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Additional certification in Maintenance Management, Hydraulics, or TPM will be preferred.

Preferred Experience

- 2 to 10 years of maintenance experience in Forging Industry.
- Hands-on experience with forging presses ranging from 500T to 8000T capacity.
- Exposure to automotive forging plants will be an added advantage.
