About the Role:
As a Key Account Manager (KAM) Sales at Paytm Payments Services Limited, you will drive merchant acquisition and growth in Pune, directly impacting our mission to expand digital payments and financial inclusion across India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end onboarding of new merchants, ensuring seamless integration into Paytms digital payments ecosystem.
- Execute field sales strategies to identify, approach, and convert prospective merchants for EDC (Electronic Data Capture) machine deployment.
- Manage the complete sales cycle as an individual contributor, from prospecting to closure, ensuring achievement of assigned targets.
- Build and nurture solid relationships with merchants, providing ongoing support and resolving operational issues to maximize merchant satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, product, and customer support to deliver tailored solutions for merchant needs.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and optimize sales approaches.
- Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, merchant feedback, and market insights to management.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Proven experience in field sales, merchant onboarding, and EDC machine sales within the payments or financial services industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently as an individual contributor and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
- Deep understanding of digital payments, merchant acquisition processes, and POS/EDC technologies.
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Domain expertise in digital payments, fintech, or financial services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-centric mindset and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
