About the Opportunity

Client of Career Planet Consultancy is a prestigious corporate group with businesses spanning Financial Services, Investments, Lending, and Insurance. The organization is developing a landmark corporate campus of over 12 lakh sq. ft. in Pune and is seeking an experienced Legal & Compliance Manager to lead legal due diligence, land acquisition support, regulatory compliance, contract management, and Liaisoning activities for large-scale real estate and infrastructure projects.

This is a strategic role that will work closely with senior leadership, government authorities, external legal advisors, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and compliance across the organization's real estate portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Due Diligence & Property Matters

Conduct title verification and property due diligence for land acquisition and development projects.
Coordinate with Advocates, Solicitors, and Legal Consultants for title investigations and title certificates.
Review land records, ownership documents, encumbrances, and legal risks associated with properties.
Support land acquisition transactions and property development initiatives from a legal perspective.

Liaisoning & Regulatory Compliance

Liaise with Government Authorities, Regulatory Bodies, Municipal Corporations, Revenue Departments, and Registration Offices.
Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
Coordinate with external lawyers and regulatory agencies for approvals, clearances, and compliance matters.
Monitor evolving legal and regulatory frameworks impacting real estate projects.

Contracts, Agreements & Documentation

Draft, vet, negotiate,



and finalize various legal documents and contracts.
Prepare and review:

- Conveyance Deeds
- Sale Deeds
- Lease Deeds
- Development Agreements
- LOIs (Letters of Intent)
- Contracts & Vendor Agreements
- Society Formation Documentation
- Legal Notices & Correspondence

Ensure legal documentation aligns with business objectives while minimizing risk exposure.

Litigation & Risk Management

Coordinate with solicitors and legal counsels on litigation and dispute matters.
Provide legal opinions and practical solutions to resolve project-related legal challenges.
Identify legal risks proactively and recommend mitigation strategies.
Maintain litigation records and monitor case progress.

Legal Governance & Reporting

Create and maintain a structured legal document management system.
Develop legal dashboards, compliance trackers, and MIS reports for leadership review.
Ensure systematic storage and retrieval of legal records across group companies.
Build and maintain a legal knowledge repository for organizational use.

Stakeholder Management

Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for legal matters related to real estate projects.
Collaborate with Project Leaders, Finance Teams, Function Heads, and Senior Management.
Provide legal updates and strategic guidance to key stakeholders and leadership teams.

Desired Candidate Profile

Educational Qualification

LLB (Mandatory)
LLM / Master's Degree preferred
Additional certification in Systems Management or Compliance will be an advantage

Experience

12–20 years of experience in Legal & Compliance functions
Solid exposure to Real Estate,



Infrastructure, Land Acquisition, Property Transactions, and Regulatory Compliance
Experience handling large-scale commercial or corporate real estate projects preferred
