About this Role
We are seeking a skilled professional to support the implementation and management of a comprehensive Safety Management System and fire safety programmes across VOIS India locations. This role focuses on ensuring alignment with ISO 45001:2018 guidelines, regulatory standards, and internal policies, while promoting a proactive safety culture, effective risk mitigation, and consistent safety compliance across sites.
What you will do
- Implement, manage, and continuously improve the Safety Management System in line with ISO 45001:2018, statutory requirements, and organisational policies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, national, and international codes and standards (e.g. NBC, NFPA, OSHA, BIS).
- Manage organisation-wide fire safety programmes, including prevention strategies, fire protection systems, and emergency preparedness.
- Facilitate and review risk assessments, incident investigations, and near-miss analyses, recommending corrective and preventive actions.
- Plan and execute safety audits, fire audits, inspections, and assurance activities, analysing trends and identifying risk mitigation strategies.
- Oversee testing and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) of active and passive fire protection systems.
- Act as the primary safety interface with internal stakeholders, vendors, and service providers, supporting site onboarding and change initiatives.
- Lead training and awareness programmes to build safety capability and encourage ownership-driven safety behaviours.
- Prepare and present dashboards, reports, and risk summaries, escalating critical issues to leadership in a timely manner.
Who you are
- An individual with strong expertise in fire safety systems and safety management frameworks within operational workplace environments.
- Experienced in identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and analysing incidents using structured, risk-based methodologies.
- Skilled in translating policies and standards into effective, on-ground implementation and compliance monitoring.
- Confident in collaborating with cross-functional teams, regulatory bodies, and vendors to drive safety outcomes.
- A clear communicator, capable of presenting safety performance insights and escalating risks appropriately.
- Qualified with a Bachelors degree in Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professionally trained with a diploma or postgraduate qualification in Fire & Life Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent.
- Brings significant experience (typically 10+ years) in safety and fire safety roles within corporate offices, campuses, or large commercial facilities.
