Job Description

We are looking for an AS/400 (IBM iSeries) Software Engineer – RPG Developer with strong experience in development, debugging, application support, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and enhance applications using RPGLE, RPG/400, CLLE and CL/400.
- Design and modify programs, display files and report files.
- Work with DB2 and write SQL queries for data analysis and issue investigation.
- Perform debugging, root cause analysis and defect resolution.
- Provide batch and production support across environments.
- Perform unit and integration testing and support production deployments.
- Prepare technical specifications and production support documentation.
- Handle system maintenance, health checks and housekeeping activities.
- Follow change/incident management processes and meet defined SLAs.

Must-Have Skills

- 3–5 years of AS/400 / IBM i development and support experience.




- Robust hands-on experience with RPGLE, RPG/400, CLLE, CL/400 and ILE concepts.
- Good knowledge of DB2 and SQL.
- Experience with SEU, SDA, RLU and PDM.
- Strong debugging, unit testing and test-case design skills.
- Familiarity with Jira / ITSM tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics & Communication, Engineering or related field.

Good to Have

- Manual, functional, regression and smoke testing experience.
- Production support experience in an SLA-driven environment.
- Banking/Financial Services or Insurance domain experience.
- Payment application testing/certification exposure such as Visa, Mastercard or Amex.
- Experience preparing technical/user documentation.
