Qualification: CA / CPA preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Reporting & Accounting SME to support month-end and year-end close activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP / US GAAP, with hands-on experience in general ledger accounting and financial close processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries including accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications.
- Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Perform variance analysis between actuals, budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
- Identify discrepancies, unusual trends,



and accounting issues and coordinate resolution.
- Ensure accurate accounting and reporting in accordance with GAAP / US GAAP and company policies.
- Assist with management reporting, financial statements, and supporting schedules.

Required Skills & Experience

- 1–4 years of experience in Accounting / Financial Reporting / General Ledger / Month-End Close.
- Robust understanding of Accounting Principles and GAAP / US GAAP.
- Strong Excel skills – PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS and basic data analysis.
- Ability to work under tight month-end close deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
