Role & responsibilities

- Take a proper hand over & go through daily logbook.
- Check all the Electrical controllers are working as per the set logic.
- Carry out daily operations (Switch ON/OFF) as required for engineering services (lights, AC etc..)
- Replacement of fused bulbs, faulty sockets, switches etc.
- Ensure daily kWh meter, UPS, BTU readings are taken as per the schedule.
- Check all the electrical panel, AC panel, Ups panel, raw power D.B. and lighting and ensure normalcy.
- Active Participation in Monthly facility testing in close coordination with vendor, BMS operator and Engineer as per schedule. Follow escalation protocol in case of any issue found during testing.
- Ensure engineering check sheets are filled up with actual readings and signed off taken from Site Engineer.
- Ensure that critical equipments like UPS power, Emergency lighting DBs are ON at all times during business hours.
- Carry out routine rounds of server room, UPS room, HUB room, MEP rooms as per schedule.
- Checking of all the conference rooms and Meeting rooms are ready for meetings.
- Switch off unnecessary lights, Aircon after business hours.
- Ensure closure of all open snags in close coordination with vendor and Site Engineer.




- Coordinate with the BMS / Help desk staff and ensure all request/calls area closed on time.
- Ensure routine kind of complaints are tracked and resolved proactively and keep Site Engineer updated on the same.
- Make a note in a logbook for all pending works which needs to be done in the next shift.
- Fill up daily logbook with daily activities & work.
- Ensure that Site Engineer and supervisors are kept updated on the key work carried during shift.
- Implementation of saving initiatives as guided by Supervisor and Site Engineer.
- Make an attempt to close pending calls / work before the shift over.
- Ensure that preventing maintenance work is carried out as per 52-week calendar.
- Active participation in completing breakdown and shutdown work.
- Maintaining the Daily log sheet of Electrical Consumption.
- Ensure engineering checklists are maintained and proper record kept on site.
- Ensure vendors are escorted and now work is carried out without proper supervision.
- Ensure all reports are signed off and proper hand over is given to next shift electrician.
