Job DescriptionAbout SVF NSVF is Eastern India's largest media & entertainment company, spanning film production and distribution, music, television, and cinema exhibition — alongside hoichoi, its OTT platform reaching roughly 250 million Bengalis worldwide. SVF's music catalogue is one of the largest and most-consumed libraries of Bengali film music, anchoring some of the region's biggest audio and video platforms. NThe ProspectnSVF is looking for someone to take ownership of its film music catalogue — its accuracy, its rights, and its life across every platform it lives on. This isn't a generic content-ops role. It calls for someone who can place a song by ear within its year and film, who knows which composer worked with which director, and who feels the commercial DNA of the 2000s–early 2010s Dev & Jeet era in their bones. That fluency is what turns a catalogue of old songs into a living, monetisable, audience-loved asset. NWhat You'll Donn Own the health and accuracy of SVF's Bengali film music catalogue — metadata, credits, rights tagging, and listings. N Lead curation and programming of music content around key cultural moments — anniversaries, festivals, composer and actor milestones — with particular depth on the early 2000s era commercial era. N Build and maintain relationships with composers, publishers, labels, and rights holders connected to the catalogue. N Drive discoverability and monetisation of the legacy catalogue — playlists, remix and re-release opportunities, and sync licensing leads — with equal attention to lesser-known catalogue depth, not just the obvious hits.
N Partner with marketing and content teams to spot nostalgia-driven campaign moments rooted in catalogue depth. N Define and maintain a structured internal knowledge base mapping composers, films, songs, and years. N Track catalogue performance across platforms and flag gaps or opportunities. N Support coordination onthird-party licensing requests — ads, remixes, and sync use. NnMust-Have Qualifications Nn 5–8+ years of experience in music operations, label or catalogue management, or audio content programming — ideally within a film, OTT, or music company. N Deep, near-encyclopedicknowledge of commercial film music from the 2000s–early era — composers, soundtracks, actor-song pairings, and cultural context. N Working knowledge of music metadata, rights, and digital distribution systems. N Sharp curatorial instinct — able to translate catalogue depth into audience-facing playlists, campaigns, or content moments. N Comfortable working cross-functionally with legal/rights, marketing, and content teams. N Uses AI tools to summarise data, draft documents, and explore process improvements — and knows how to verify and correct AI outputs. N Sharp, polished, and genuinely comfortable in client-facing settings — able to represent SVF credibly with composers, publishers, labels, and rights holders, not just work the catalogue from behind a desk. NnGood to Haven N Prior experience at a music label, publishing house, or OTT music vertical. N Familiarity with sync licensing and remix/re-release commercial models. N Comfort with spreadsheets or basic SQL for catalogue analytics. N
