SAP ECC Test Consultant (Manual Testing) FICO Interfaces

Role Summary

The SAP ECC Test Consultant (Manual Testing) FICO Interfaces is responsible for preparing, executing, and documenting manual testing activities across the SAP ECC Finance (FICO) solution and its integrated interfaces.

Working closely with business users, SAP functional consultants, technical teams, developers, and third-party vendors, the consultant supports project implementations, system enhancements, upgrades, regression testing, and application support releases.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning Preparation

- Review business requirements, functional specifications,.
- Execute Manual test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
- Prepare and manage test data to support functional and integration testing.
- Estimate testing effort and support test planning activities.
- Ensure complete requirements traceability through the testing lifecycle.

SAP FICO Functional Testing

Execute manual testing across SAP ECC Finance and Controlling modules including:

Interface Integration Testing

Execute manual end-to-end testing of interfaces between SAP ECC and internal or third-party systems.

End-to-End Business Process Testing

Execute integrated testing across multiple SAP modules including:

- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Order-to-Cash (O2C)
- Record-to-Report (R2R)
- Fixed Asset Management
- Intercompany Transactions
- Financial Close Processes

Regression Testing

- Execute manual regression testing following:
- Configuration changes
- Enhancements
- Support Packs
- SAP Notes




- Production fixes
- Release deployments

- Maintain and update regression test scripts.
- Verify that existing functionality has not been adversely impacted.

Defect Management

- Record and manage defects using tools such as Tosca and Jira.
- Prioritise defects based on business impact.
- Work with SAP Functional Consultants and Developers to resolve issues.
- Perform defect re-testing and regression validation.
- Track defect lifecycle through to closure.

Documentation Reporting

Produce and maintain:

- Test Plans
- Test Scenarios
- Test Scripts
- Test Execution Evidence
- Defect Logs
- Test Summary Reports
- Test Completion Reports

Collaboration Governance

- Participate in project workshops and design reviews.
- Work closely with SAP Functional Consultants, Developers, Business SMEs, Integration Teams, and Project Managers.
- Support release planning, deployment, and Hypercare activities.
- Ensure testing complies with project governance and quality standards.

Required Skills Experience

- Robust experience in manual testing of SAP ECC applications.
- Good knowledge of SAP ECC Finance and Controlling (FICO).
- Experience testing integrated SAP business processes.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive manual test documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Tricentis Tosca testing (Manual Automated)
