Role & Responsibilities:

- Design, develop and update jigs, fixtures and tooling to support machining, assembly and inspection processes.careers.

- Prepare concept designs, layouts and detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using UG NX.

- Incorporate basic electrical design elements (sensors, limit switches, simple control circuits, safety interlocks) in fixtures as required.

- Ensure fixtures and tools meet functional, safety and quality requirements and are easy to use and maintain.

- Collaborate with production, quality and maintenance teams to gather requirements and convert them into practical fixture/tool concepts.careers.

- Provide technical support during manufacturing, assembly and try-out of fixtures and tools on the shop floor.

- Coordinate with machine shops and vendors for manufacturing of fixtures and tools, clarifying drawings, tolerances and technical points.

- Optimize existing fixtures and tools for cycle time, ergonomics,



safety and cost improvements.

- Prepare and maintain design documentation, BOMs, revision records and usage instructions for all fixtures and tools.

- Ensure adherence to standards, GD&T;, and best practices in tool and fixture design.

Required Skills and Competencies

- Solid hands-on experience in Jigs and Fixture design for machining and assembly operations.

- Proficiency in UG NX for 3D modelling and 2D detailing.

- Basic knowledge of electrical design for fixtures (wiring, sensors, basic panels).

- Good understanding of machining processes (milling, turning, drilling, grinding, etc.) and tooling selection.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T.;

- Strong communication skills for coordination with production teams, tool rooms and vendors.
