We are seeking a skilled and experienced Development Engineer with 5 - 8 years of experience in the automobile or manufacturing industry. The role involves designing and developing sheet metal components, jigs, fixtures, and tooling solutions, along with executing New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept to production. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on experience in prototyping, reverse engineering, testing, and process improvement. Exposure to automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949 is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- To review the drawings and study for manufacturing purpose.
- Give part development soft data to supplier to do work.
- Check tooling and fixture data at supplier end and how to complete as per development time plan.
- Make Tool DAP according to cost finalization & Give tooling & fixture time plan to next customer.
- Support supplier for completion the Dies & Fixtures with in a time line.
- To co-ordinate with internal project team during development.
- Visit to all development supplier & check all data & work status.
- Provide daily work status report to team leader.
- In morning meeting discuss the problems with leader & how to solve the problem related to work.
- Attend for tooling/parts try outs at supplier end.
- To take the corrective action if any problem occurs while part development time & solve the problem.
- Make the inspection report for try out parts. If any NG occurs take corrective action on tool then re offer for trail.
- To produce first pilot Lot & Submit to customer.
- After laser cut parts trail submit to customer and ask for go head for blanking dies at supplier end.




- Support the supplier while doing the blank development.
- Prepare the Tools & Fixtures bye-off sheet while dispatching the dies.
- Take HLTO trial with production and supplier team.
- If any correction required close it from supplier side.
- Conduct part PTR with Customer and close open point in given time line.
- Handover dies to production team with proper trail and input data.
- During production if any ECN received, implement it with proper way and handover to production department.
- Give the Dies & Fixtures implementation details to customer as per the part modification.

Required Skills:

- Strong proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or equivalent software.
- Extensive experience in sheet metal design, fabrication processes, and tooling development.
- Hands-on experience in prototyping, reverse engineering, and product validation.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes including stamping, welding, fabrication, and surface finishing.
- Understanding of project management methodologies and NPD lifecycle.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in New Product Development within automobile or manufacturing industries, preferably in sheet metal components.
- Experience working in IATF 16949 / ISO TS 16949 certified organizations will be preferred.
