Key Responsibilities

- Design and Build WordPress Websites Develop custom themes and templates based on client or company requirements and ensure proper functionality.
- Customize Themes and Plugins Modify existing WordPress themes and plugins to match design needs and improve functionality.
- Maintain and Update Websites Perform regular updates, backups and maintenance to keep all WordPress sites secure and up to date.
- Optimize Website Performance Improve site speed, responsiveness and overall performance across all devices and browsers.
- Implement SEO Best Practices Ensure websites are developed with proper on-page SEO structure, including meta tags, schema and clean code.
- Troubleshoot and Fix Issues Identify technical issues or bugs and resolve them in a timely manner to ensure a smooth user experience.
- Collaborate with Designers and Content Teams Work closely with UI/UX designers and content writers to translate visual concepts and content into functional web pages.
- Integrate Third-Party Tools and APIs Implement payment gateways, CRM integrations and other external services as required.
- Ensure Website Security Apply best practices and use security plugins to protect websites from malware and attacks.
- Document Development Process Maintain proper documentation of code, customisations, and processes for future reference or team use.

Required Qualifications





- Educational Background- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field
- Additional certification or coursework in WordPress / Web Development is an added advantage

Professional Experience

- 1 3 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development (theme customization, plugin development and website maintenance)
- Proven experience in building and managing responsive WordPress websites

Skills Competencies

- Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS, themes and plugins
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- Working knowledge of MySQL and database management
- Understanding of SEO best practices and website performance optimization
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and bugs
- Solid attention to detail and ability to deliver clean, well-structured code
- Ability to work collaboratively with design and content teams
- Good communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects
