- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic studies for projects such as highways, bridges, urban drainage systems, and river engineering
- Perform rainfall-runoff modeling, watershed analysis, and flood estimation
- Develop and calibrate models using tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, or MIKE suite
- Support floodplain mapping, stormwater design, and drainage planning
- Analyze rainfall, streamflow, and other hydrometeorological data
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., BIS, IRC, MoRTH, World Bank/ADB guidelines where applicable)
- Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and documentation
- Coordinate with civil, environmental, and GIS teams
- Assist in proposal preparation and technical submissions
- Provide guidance to junior engineers and modelers
