Krishitek Industries Pvt. Ltd. is an Indian manufacturer of agricultural machinery, focused on developing practical, reliable and farmer-oriented mechanization solutions.

We are looking for an experienced Manager – Technical & Operations who can lead our Design & Development and Production functions while driving effective cross-functional coordination across Purchase, Quality, Dispatch, After-Sales Service (technical support) and OEM/technical partners.

This is a senior, hands-on role for a professional who understands the complete product lifecycle — Design Development Manufacturing Quality Field Performance Product Improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Product Development

- Lead the Design & Development function and manage engineering priorities.
- Lead new product development and existing product improvement initiatives.
- Review and guide engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications and design changes.
- Ensure products are practical, reliable, cost-effective and manufacturable.
- Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Coordinate prototype development, testing, validation and implementation.
- Convert field/customer requirements into meaningful product improvements.
- Build engineering standards, documentation and design processes.

2. Production & Manufacturing

- Lead and coordinate with the Production team to achieve production targets.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
- Improve productivity, manufacturing processes and resource utilization.
- Ensure smooth transition of new/modified products from Design to Production.
- Coordinate with fabrication, machining, assembly and outsourced manufacturing partners.
- Reduce rejection, rework, downtime and production losses.
- Ensure manufacturability is considered during product development.

3. Purchase & Vendor Technical Coordination

- Define technical specifications for critical components and materials.
- Technically evaluate and develop vendors.
- Support Purchase in vendor selection and technical evaluation.
- Identify alternate materials/components for cost, quality and availability improvement.
- Resolve technical issues with suppliers.
- Drive technical development of critical suppliers.

Quality & Root Cause Analysis

- Work closely with Quality and Production teams to identify root causes of product/process issues.
- Lead technical Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
- Eliminate recurring quality problems.
- Analyse rejection, rework and field-failure trends.
- Drive continuous improvement in product and process quality.

5. After-Sales & Product Performance

- Provide technical support for major product/service issues.
- Analyse field failures and identify design, manufacturing or process-related root causes.
- Establish a feedback loop from Customer Service Design Production.
- Drive product improvements based on field performance.
- Reduce recurring technical complaints and warranty issues.

6. OEM & External Technical Coordination

- Coordinate technical discussions with OEMs, technology partners and external agencies.
- Understand OEM requirements and translate them into internal execution.
- Lead technical trials, modifications and product integration.
- Manage technical communication with external partners.

7. Process & Cost Improvement

- Identify opportunities for product and manufacturing cost reduction.
- Improve material utilization, process efficiency and product design.
- Evaluate make-vs-buy opportunities.
- Reduce unnecessary components, processes and manufacturing complexity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

8. Management & Strategic Support

- Provide the Managing Director with technical and operational insights for decision-making.
- Analyse production constraints, product costs, technical risks, supplier issues and capacity requirements.
- Support strategic decisions related to new products, manufacturing and process improvement.
- Lead cross-functional projects involving multiple departments.

Candidate Profile

We are specifically looking for a cross-functional engineering and operations qualified, not a conventional Design Manager or Production Manager.

Mandatory Requirements

- 10–15 years of total professional experience.
- 35 years of age or above.




- Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in Agricultural Machinery / Tractor / Farm Equipment / Tractor Implements or closely related manufacturing.
- Strong cross-functional experience across multiple functions such as:
- Design & Development
- Production / Manufacturing
- Quality
- Vendor Development / Purchase
- After-Sales / Field Support
- Operations

- Engineering degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Experience in mechanical product design and manufacturing.
- Experience leading teams and cross-functional projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, BOMs, materials and manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Hands-on approach with both engineering and shop-floor teams.
