L1/L2 Managed IT Services Technician

Reports To: Managed IT Services Support Team Lead

Role Purpose

Deliver second-line technical support and onsite infrastructure services to domestic customers and MSP partners, ensuring reliable operation of servers, storage, backup/DR, and network environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Resolve L2 incidents, service requests, and escalations across customer IT infrastructure.
2. Install, configure, support, and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers, storage, backup, disaster recovery, firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless equipment.
3. Perform customer-site visits for hardware installation, replacements, structured connectivity, network-device deployment, and issues that cannot be resolved remotely.
4. Support Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, backup tools, monitoring systems, and endpoint-management solutions.
5. Conduct routine health checks, patching, backup verification, restore testing, and infrastructure documentation.
6. Assist with customer onboarding, site surveys, migrations, upgrades, and small-to-medium infrastructure projects.
7. Work within agreed SLAs, provide clear ticket updates, and prepare root-cause notes for recurring incidents.

Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, OEM support, and internal escalation teams when required.

Required Experience and Skills
1. 3-6 years of hands-on infrastructure support experience, preferably supporting domestic business customers or in an MSP environment.
2. Demonstrable experience with servers, storage, networking hardware, backup, and disaster-recovery operations.
3. Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware/Hyper-V, firewalls, managed switches, routers, and Wi-Fi.
4. Willingness to travel for compulsory customer-site visits as required.
5. Strong troubleshooting discipline, customer communication, and ownership of ticket resolution.

Preferred Certifications
1. CCNA, Microsoft, VMware, Veeam, Fortinet, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
